What coaching can support

Support that continues beyond the conversation.

Sessions happen where goals can be practiced in real time—helping the young person build ownership, get out, engage, and gain confidence through experience.

  • Practical routines that fit real family life
  • Tools for organization, follow-through, and emotional regulation
  • Greater confidence, self-awareness, and independence
  • Calmer communication and less conflict at home
  • Help using provider recommendations between appointments
  • Consistent accountability and visible progress

Coaching and therapy

Different roles that can work well together.

Therapy and coaching may complement one another, but they serve different purposes. Hannah does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions.

Therapy may focus on

Healing, symptoms, and clinical treatment

  • Diagnosing and treating mental-health conditions
  • Processing trauma, distress, or past experiences
  • Managing clinical symptoms and risk

Coaching focuses on

Goals, skills, habits, and forward movement

  • Turning goals into practical next steps
  • Building routines and real-life skills
  • Creating accountability and supporting independence

Coaching complements—but does not replace—therapy, medical care, or crisis services.

Frequently asked questions

What families usually want to know.

Who does Hannah work with?

Hannah works primarily with teens and young adults and includes essential parent support in every program.

Where do sessions happen?

Depending on the client’s goals, sessions may take place at home, in an agreed community setting, or through a combination of both.

Does a parent attend coaching sessions?

The young person remains at the center of coaching. Each package includes separate parent-support sessions so parents can reinforce progress without taking over.

Is coaching the same as therapy?

No. Coaching focuses on goals, habits, skills, accountability, and forward movement. It does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions and does not replace therapy, medical care, or crisis services.

Is coaching covered by insurance?

Coaching is not billed to insurance. Payment options are available for each program.

Can Hannah coordinate with a therapist or provider?

Growth in Action includes one provider-coordination conversation with written consent. Coordination outside that package can be discussed before enrollment.

Are travel and community expenses included?

Program pricing includes travel within Hannah’s standard Greater Houston service area. Travel outside that area, parking, admission, activities, or transportation expenses may cost extra and will be discussed before booking.
